Customer Feedback

This is an amazing, must-do experience.

You learn so much about aboriginal culture and get to try your hand at creating your own aboriginal inspired art. Even if you lack creative juices, I still highly recommend as you can be surprised at what you can create. The artwork here is beautiful and all inspired by the rainforests and reefs in the surrounding areas. My wife and I would go back anytime and even plan on purchasing some of his original artwork. Not only that, but you can hear one of a kind stories and learn the spirituality behind an amazingly unique group of people.

This is once in a lifetime. Highly recommend.

We spent here a wonderful couple of hours, learning from Binna about aboriginal art, customs, and history, all with good and light hearted humour and a didgeridoo demo.

Left home with our own canvas, feeling very proud. If you’re in the neighbourhood, do plan a painting lesson and a visit to the Janbal Gallery!

Binna, the owner and artist in residence, has a going business that both instructs visitors through a hands-on Aboriginal art activity and sells his own works.

We learned that traditional art practices using ochres, lime, and fire ash have expanded into modern techniques using paints and fine brushes or sticks to help share more fully the artist's vision.

His instruction is generally by appointment and can accept only a limited number per session. Private sessions are also available.

I had a great time with Binna in his gallery where he kindly shared his knowledge and passion!

Would absolutely recommend this place to discover traditional aboriginal art.
Could even leave with a gift as a souvenir !
